SBP Coaches Academy back in Central Luzon

All aspiring basketball coaches from school, club or community-based teams from Region 3 are invited to take part in the Level 1 Accreditation and Refresher Course sponsored by the Samahan Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) under the supervision of Zone Director, Virgilio “Gil” Cortez. 

This will be held at the Bacolor Gym on June 20 and 21, 2026, with no less than the Program Head of the SBP Coaches Academy, Joseph “Jong’ Uichico, supervising the event.

Also encouraged to attend are coaches who have attended past accreditation programs to undergo refresher courses.

Participants are expected to receive a certificate of attendance, a Level 1 accreditation by the SBP Coaches Academy and digital SBP ID with a QR Code upon checking and passing the exam at the SBP National Office, as well as an SBP Official Zone 3 Physical ID.

Those interested should be in sports attire (no sleeveless shirt and slippers), a pen and a notebook, and a 2x2 photo with the name written at the back.

Fees and payment will be accepted at the venue. For new coaches, a Php 2,000 fee will be charged while for coaches with Level 1 accreditation who will undergo refresher courses, the fee will be at Php 1,500. An additional Php 200 will also be charged for the Physical Zone 3 ID.
