1-season PBA player
PSBA Jaguar star
CDCP Road Builders forward

Jose Rillo
Born July 13, 1955. 6-2, 170 lbs. Forward
He is one of the rookies on the Builders' squad and as such he is not expected to come up with flashy plays and a brilliant performance. But in his short stints on the court, he has shown considerable promise provided he is given more exposure. When he builds up self-confidence, he will be a cager to reckon with. A steady shooting guard of PSBA who had a short stint with Masagana 99, is all set to leave his amateur uniform in favor of the CDCP jersey. One of the more reliable players of the PSBA Jaguars, Rillo, who first played serious basketball at the University of Nueva Caceres in Naga, also played with Bayview Plaza Hotel and Mama's Love. Expected to join Rillo as CDCP freshies is Tim Coloso of Solidenims. There is a hitch in Coloso's case however which we hope to write about next issue. Rillo, who admits he learned the intricacies of the game from coach Nic Jorge (also his CDCP coach), is expected to give the team the much needed sock at the backcourt. "I know he is good. All that guy needs is the break. I think he'll get it here at CDCP. But of course, it all depends on his attitude and his game," coach Jorge said. "I'm glad I made it," Rillo quipped, "this means a new challenge, a big one."
