The massive overhaul undertaken by Alaska prior to the season left a roster spot open for the Fil-Am, who was picked 18th overall by the Aces in the rookie draft.
A former mainstay of the Cebu Gems in the MBA, Evans played in 17 games as the third-line point guard after Kenneth Duremdes and Jon Ordonio but disappeared mysteriously from the Alaska lineup late in the season.
