Note : WITH a theme centered on how sports plays a key role in the evolution of man's basic values, the University Athletic Association of hte Philippines formally kicked off its 62nd season at the Philsports Arena in Pasig, City last July 10. Defending champion De La Salle University led the opening-day winners but it was University of Santo Tomas which stole the show when the Tigers paraded the country's undisputed sweetheart, Miss Universe first runner-up Miriam Quiambao, as muse during the opening festivities. Of course, the University of the Philippines this year's host school, also deserved a congratulatory backpat for putting together the creative grand "Palabas."
