Note : WHEN the 74th season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) kicks off at the Araneta Coliseum on July 18, it will have a familiar theme with the San Sebastian Stags aiming to make history. With five consecutive NCAA titles already under their belts, the Stags have accomplished a feat that is unprecendented in the rich history of college basketball in this country. Now the mighty Stags are gunning for a sixth straight championship, a feat that will further solidify their stature as the dominant collegiate team of the '90s and cement their place among the great college teams of all time. But with the departure of stars like Rommel Adducul, Brixter Encamacion, Aramis Calpito, Jasper Ocampo and Ulysses Tanigue, this year's Stags face a rough road ahead. Nevertheless, the team remains confident with nine holdovers from last year's team and six promising rookies.
