ERWIN PASTOR LUNA
Erwin Pastor Luna is another UAAP cager who missed making it to the RP Youth team. He could have been an asset considering that he stands 6-5 and weighs a mobile 195 pounds. But then, a lot of people still consider Luna a little bit raw. In fact, over at Adamson, he is the least exposed among the giants which include 7-0 EJ Feihl, 6-9 Marlou Aquino and 6-5 Giovanni Pineda He isn't impatient, though. He knows his time will come. After all, he spent a year of residence with the Eagles but failed to eventually suit up with them due to academic deficiencies. He transferred to Adamson. To which Ateneo coach Chot Reyes. says, "Sayang talaga dahil may malaki na sana ako'ng player pero hindi pa rin umubra." Reyes' loss is Bauzon's gain! Erwin was born on July 26, 1972 and is the eldest of two kids of Elmo Luna, a salesman based in the US, and Evelyn Reyes. His younger brother Eugene stands 6-1 and is a dentistry student at CEU Erwin played three years for Colegio de San Agustin before being recruited by Ateneo. He is now on his third year as a management student. During his high school days at CSA, he also dabbled into soccer football either as a goalie or a forward and this explains his mobility. Of being given minimal exposure, Luna said, "That's understandable. I'm new and I still have to learn a lot of things. Ang masama naman ay kung totally ako'ng ibangko. But coach Bauzon is definitely trying to break me in into the game." He admits that this first year will be a learning experience. But already, some UAAP fans have taken notice of his above average defensive skills. "I want to polish my medium range shots," said Luna who is a fan of San Miguel Beer's Ramon Fernandez. Of Adamson's chances of winning a UAAP title, he said, "They're pretty good, It's just that we must not be over confident."
