5-11 1/2, Forward
Cholo was the team's surprise draft pick at No. 13 as he was chosen over former NCAA MVP awardee Kelvin dela Peña and Harbour Centre gunners Jonathan Fernandez and Jeff Chan. The surprise ended there, though. The De La Salle alum was tapped to play for only a total of 123 minutes during the 2008-09 season, accumulating 38 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds and committing 10 turnovers overall. A versatile swingman who can play both shooting forward and shooting guard, he'll be an ideal spare tire for the well-equipped hardcourt machine of Air21. Because the Express are filled with pointmakers, the ex-Green Archer may not be asked to put the ball in the basket much. But that won't matter because the second round selection can excel in other aspects of the game. His presence will further solidify the Express' bench.
