1. Birthday Greetings to Ronnie Albor ( Dec 17 )

One of the best acquisitions of Presto Fun Drinks for this season's PBA is Ronnie Albor, the 6-2 bullstrong forward of Mariwasa. Albor, who played for Southwestern University in Cebu and ITM in the MICAA, is just what coach Jimmy Mariano needs in his rejuvenated team. Without Estrada, Albor would come in very important to the squad. With him and Joey Marquez and probably Joel Banal, who should be shifted back to the forward line, Presto's wing would appear very, very promising. The other Presto acquisition is Leonardo Paguntalan, formerly of San Miguel, and hopefully, Mario Marasigan Albor's teammate at Mariwasa. saw in the boy a potentially good cager. He stayed for only a year as he was spotted there and offered a slot in the Southwestern U Cobra's line-up by Baby Boy Aznar, SWU owner. The Cobras, with Ronnie in the line-up were Cebu Amateur Athletic Association (CAAA) champion in 1977 but withdrew the following year. In the same year (1977), Ronnie played for GaisanoITM in the Cebu Amateur Basketball Association (CABA) where his team reigned supreme up to this year. Right after the CABA championship this year, Ronnie was taken in by ITM Surprisingly, Ronnie started in basketball only four years ago when he entered college at Occidental Misamis Colleges. Previous to that, Ronnie was a track and fielder at Kidapawan Municipal High School at North Cotabato, playing in provincial meets where he was entered in the relays, shot put and javelin throw events. He was recruited by Occ.. Misamis Colleges varsity coach Ramon Beringuer,
