Despite only being a rookie, Kevin Ferrer already possessed the qualities that would make him into one of Ginebra's future cornerstones. At 6-foot-5, Ferrer had the length to stifle any player on the defensive end. He also was a capable offensive option for the Gin Kings, who usually employed shooters that would space the floor for Japeth and Slaughter. Ferrer was able to put up 5.4 points and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 37 percent from the field in just 18.1
minutes per game.
