What Manny needs now is additional weight; as he is rather light at 85 kilograms 
(188 lbs.). He also still has to mature in his playing style and to add consistency 
to his game. Prior to the last Asian Youth series, Manny together with teammates 
Alex Vera and Ferdinand Maglaque were called for try-outs for the RP Youth team. 
Unfortunately, they were all in the far South that time and could not make it to Manila.
Manny has no favorite player in the PBA but in the NBA, he picks Julius Erving, the 
fabulous Dr. J, as his idol. On the current NCAA, it is obvious JRC is not going to 
figure in the championship.
