Birthday Greetings to Enrique Reyes ( Dec 24 )

Eric was born on December 24, 1967 and is the youngest of seven kids of Dr. Ernesto Reyes, Jr. and the former Erlinda Millionado, Elder brother Ernesto III is a doctor. Edgardo, a fomer pelotari known as Gary, is now with PAGCOR, Evelyn is a plain housewife. Ed Manollette is a pelotari based in Orlando Florida. Eugene works with Spices at the Manila Peninsula. Edwin is with the purchasing department of Filsyn. Eric completed high school at La Salle Greenhills where he played alongside Purefoods rookie Joselito Guanio. He moved to Ateneo and was instrumental in leading the Blue Eagles to back-to-back championships in the UAAP. In the PBL, he has played for Purefoods and Swift before joining A&W. Last year, he was also named as reserve to the RP Men's team that finished seventh in the ABC championship in Kobe, Japan. "Of course I felt disappointed because I was hoping to be a member of the national team. But I took it constructively. I said to myself I had to work on my game," said Eric. Now reunited with Swift and Yeng Guiao, Eric said, "I'm happy to be here. They're all treating me good. Coach Yeng is okay. He studies the situation and knows how to prop up the morale of his players. In fact, he gave the rookies a big break during the Battle of Champions. Maybe, if I was playing for another team I wouldn't get such an exposure. But I'm really thankful I'm here."
