THE Cebuano had a long, glorious career in the MBA that saw him become one of the fan favorites with the Gems. Drafted 29th overall by Alaska, the former University of Visayas star stepped into a spot in the rotation that another Cebuano, Roehl Gomez, turned into a career with the Aces that of the designated shooter coach Tim Cone turned to in certain situations. His 37.4-percent shooting from three-point land - second-best in the league - showed he owns the spot if he wants it.
