Remembering NCC Days - Jeff Moore
1. Remembering NCC Days - Jeff Moore
The big poser is: Will the PBA fans miss Jeff Moore?
In many instances, Moore got bumped and bruised and still PBA fans seldom cheered him up. Oftentimes,
Moore even got heckled. But Jeff, cool and complacent as he naturally is, never reciprocated
the cat calls with sloppy plays Cheered or jeered at, Jeff Moore consistently dished out
sterling performances According to Jeff, he got bumped and bruised and hurt in every game that
he played in the PBA. "But that's okay. I've learned to live with it. At the start, it was difficult for me.
I ached all over. But I kind of got used to it. Now, I found out that I could take more than
I used to when I first came here." In the NC-Beer Hausen sudden death playoff for the right to
meet Great Taste in the best-of-five championship series, Moore once again became the target
of dangerous fouls. In the second half of ac tion, Moore dashed for homecourt and slammed the ball
into the hoop only to fall with a big thud on the mahogany flooring. He was sideswiped by Hausen's Ricky Relosa.
This incident stirred Jacobs who vehemently voiced his protests to the referees, to no avail,
Jacobs was later thrown out of the game. Northern eventually lost the match in overtime.
