Alvin Castro was San Miguel's only pick from the 2002 draft, taken in the second round at No. 20 overall. But he had his work cut out for him competing for a regular spot in the Beermen's rotation during the course of the season. The sharpshooting forward, who had a short but rewarding stint with La Salle in the college leagues, played in 19 games but couldn't crack the main rotation. But the good news is, he's still young and will have a couple more opportunities to show what he can do.
