Pinoy Basketball Legend Tribute - Francisco Rabat

Francisco Rabat, the Rajah of Rebound and now vice go- vernor of Davao Oriental. cruited by Ateneo de Manila for the 1953 National Collegiate Athletic Association campaign along with Mario Ballesteros and Quintellano Literal, Rabat in one season stamped his name in Philippine basketball lore and contributed tremendously to the Blue Eagles' dethroning archrival San Beda's Red Lions and keying off a two-year reign. Loreto Carbonell, a mis- chievous cager equipped with a deadly jump-or-drive thrust who suffered two years of frus- tration with San Beda before helping the Lions nail down the Zamora three-legged trophy in 1955.
