Born Sept. 12, 1975, Makati 6-0, guard
A starter in the backcourt in La Salle's multi-titled teams in the UAAP, Jose followed teammate Don Allado to the pro ranks by joining the talent- rich 2001 draft where he was picked in the third round - and 24th overall - by Pop Cola. The brainy guard worked his way to a roster spot in the pre-season and suited up in 24 games that served more as his break-in to the pro ranks.
