Note : As the 54th edition of the UAAP opened Saturday at the Ar- aneta Coliseum, the Archers who are gunning for a third straight championship, have suddenly realized that the opposition has E vastly improved this year, and it surely won't be a picnic shoot- ing for a three-peat! Add to this the fact that La Salle's main man Zandro Limpot might miss the first round of the elims on account of commit- ments with the national team and one can easily figure out why Archers' coach Derick Pumaren isn't so optimistic after all. Sure, La Salle hurdled its initial assignment as it breezed past hapless National University, 97-59 but that's no real gauge as to the real strength of the field. After all, the NU Bulldogs are known as everybody's whipping boys in the tournament.
